Indian Railways has announced that it will operate special trains from December 15 to ease the crowds during the ongoing Sabarimala festival. Southern Railways used X, formerly Twitter, to announce the news and share the schedules of the trains that will run. deployed to calm the crowds.

Vande Bharat Sabari Special Trains

The announcement stated that the railways will operate Vande Bharat Sabari special trains between Chennai Central and Kottayam. According to the publication, train no 06151 MGR Chennai Central-Kottayam Vande Bharat Special leaves MGR Chennai Central at 4.30 am. m. and reaches Kottayam at 4.15 pm. m. on December 15, 17, 22 and 24 of the same day.

Similarly, train no 06152 Kottayam-Dr MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat Sabari departs. The fortnightly special train leaves Kottayam at 4.40 am and reaches Dr. MGR Chennai Central on the same day at 5:15 pm. The train runs on December 16, 18, 23 and 25.

The trains will stop at specific stations including Katpadi, Salem, Palakkad and Aluva during their journey.

Kacheguda- Kollam- Kacheguda special trains

Additionally, Train No. 07109 Kacheguda-Kolam will depart from Kacheguda in Telangana at 11.45 pm on December 18 and 25 and January 1, 8 and 15. The train will reach its destination, Kollam, at 5.30 am on the third day of the journey.

On the return journey from Kollam, the train (number 07110) departs at 22:45 and reaches Kacheguda at 15:45 the next day. This train runs on December 20 and 27 and January 3, 10 and 17.
