Two-wheeler maker Royal Enfield has announced the opening of its maiden warehouse in the eastern region to meet the demand for spare parts, a company spokesperson said.
The strategic location of the warehouse, located near Kolkata, is expected to significantly reduce transit times for motorcycle parts deliveries and facilitate the development of channel partners.
The warehouse covers a sprawling area of 50,000 square meters in Bagnan, Howrah district, and will serve as a spare parts distribution center for the entire eastern and northeastern region.
Regarding exports, the spokesperson highlighted that America occupies the position of the largest foreign market for Royal Enfield, representing 45% of the total volume. It is closely followed by Europe, Western Asia and Africa, which together represent 35%.
The Asia Pacific region plays an important role and contributes 20% of Royal Enfield's total exports. In addition, the spokesperson highlighted that more than 27% of the company's internal sales are attributed to the eastern region.
This strategic move is expected to streamline supply chain operations and increase Royal Enfield's presence in both the domestic and international markets.
