Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet gives green light to integrated logistics policy
 

The Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet approved the formulation of the state's logistics policy, aligning it with Chief Minister Gati Shakti's framework. This policy aims to expedite the integrated development of the state by 2047.

The Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Pema Khandu, has recognized the growth opportunities presented by recent improvements in connectivity infrastructure. In 2022, the National Logistics Policy was launched, with the aim of increasing efficiency and reducing costs. The policy aims to establish an integrated multi-modal logistics ecosystem to promote development in Arunachal Pradesh by 2047.

In 2021, Prime Minister Gati Shakti's National Master Plan was launched to provide multi-modal connectivity infrastructure to economic zones. Some of the key projects mentioned in the policy include Arunachal Border Highway from Nafra to Vijoynagar, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Balinong, establishment of nine new industrial areas, a warehousing facility for Itanagar Capital Complex in Chimpu and a logistics center. center in Namsai, which has already been nominated for funding under the scheme.
