Indian Railways will operate a special Bharat Gaurav tourist train for the upcoming “South Canara Temple Visit” package. The five-night, six-day journey will begin on December 7, 2023 from Kochuveli railway station in Kerala. The tour ends at Kochuveli railway station on December 12.

During its journey, the train will visit three states: Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Travelers can visit prominent religious and tourist destinations during the tour.

However, at some selected stations it is possible to pick up and drop off passengers. These are: Kochuveli, Kollam, Senkottai, Tenkasi, Rajapalayam, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar, Madurai Junction, Dindigul, Trichy, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Chidabaram, Tripadripuliyur, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore and Katpadi Junction.

Seating:-

A total of 768 passengers will be accommodated on this tourist train. The train has a third air conditioner and eight Sleeper Class cars. The train has two types of classes: Economy (560) and Comfort (208).

Rate:-

The price of this train travel package starts at Rs 11,750 per passenger in economy class. The Comfort class fare is Rs 19,950 per passenger. This train travel package includes all travel facilities, such as meals, travel insurance, presence of tour managers, accommodation facilities and security on the train.
