Good news for passengers! The Ministry of Railways has extended the service of the KSR Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express. This is the 21st semi-high-speed train in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi scrapped it on June 27, 2023. It is maintained and operated by the South Western Railway (SWR) zone.

New route of KSR Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express:-

The national transporter has extended KSR Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express services to Belagavi. This is the second blue and white color train in the state after the MGR Chennai Central – Mysuru Vande Bharat Express.

KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express Distance and Travel Time:-

The KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express covers a distance of 611 km in less than eight hours. This will be the fastest train on the route, followed by Rani Chennamma Express and SBC-BGM Express. Both trains travel the same distance at 09:50 and 10:35 respectively.

KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express Coach Frequency and Composition:-

The KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express runs six days a week except Tuesdays. The train consists of eight cars: AC chair car and executive chair car. It will have a capacity of 530 passengers.

Meaning of KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express:-

The extension of the KSR Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express to Belagavi will provide a major boost to connectivity in the region. It will also be beneficial for passengers traveling on the route as it will reduce travel time by more than an hour. The train has improved connectivity between north and central Karnataka.

Previously, the national transport company expanded the routes of two more medium-speed trains for the convenience of passengers. These are: Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express to Udhna and Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express to Prayagraj.
