Sanjay Swarup, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of state-owned Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR), has unveiled his vision to transform the country's largest rail container carrier into a modern logistics company. This strategic move is in line with the government's efforts to tackle high logistics costs and increase India's trade competitiveness.
In his inaugural message as Chairman and Managing Director, delivered on Sunday, Swarup outlined key focus areas for CONCOR's future. He emphasized the importance of being customer-centric, offering comprehensive and cost-effective logistics solutions, prioritizing efficiency and adopting environmentally friendly practices. Swarup also emphasized the importance of setting up robust first-mile and last-mile connectivity, as well as improving storage capabilities.
In a motivational appeal to the company's employees, Swarup proposed a new motto, urging everyone to "Think Logistics, Think CONCOR." This motto reflects the company's commitment to embracing a holistic approach to logistics and positioning itself as a leading player in India's evolving trade landscape.
