Similar efforts will be undertaken to improve connectivity on other internal roads within the junction. The existing roads are too narrow, which leads to traffic congestion and bottlenecks. The road widening initiative aims to transform these roads into six-lane thoroughfares, making access to Ghansoli much easier.

Vinay Singh, Managing Director of NCRTC, recently conducted an inspection of the construction work in this section, including track laying, installation of above-ground equipment and electrical work. The stations within this phase are Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North and Meerut South.

The distance between Duhai and Meerut South Station is about 25 kilometers, with the construction of the viaduct already completed. In this section, both the up and down lines cover a total length of 50 kilometers, with more than half of the tracks already laid out. Traction work, including the hanging of masts, is also underway and track-laying activities are progressing rapidly.

In the second phase of the RAPIDX train services, operations between Duhai and Meerut South Station will begin. The priority section is ready for train operations and commuter services will begin shortly.

Construction activities for all stations in the Phase II section are ongoing, with technical rooms and structures for hall and platform levels already completed. Finishing is underway and the prefabricated roof structure is currently under construction.

During the inspection, MD Vinay Singh praised the officials and encouraged them for their quick work on the corridor. He stressed the importance of diligently following safety and security standards during the construction process, ensuring the safety of both commuters and workers.
