To offer DMRC tickets with QR codes through the IRCTC platform, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCT) and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday.
According to the press release, the effort would help passengers of the IRCTC and the DMRC by speeding up the travel process and reducing the amount of time spent on station lines.
In the first quarter of the current financial year (Q1FY24), IRCTC's standalone net profit decreased by 5.42 percent to Rs 232.21 crore from Rs 245.52 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Total revenue for FY24's first quarter was Rs 1,040.99 crore, up 18.69% from the same period last year (YoY) when it stood at Rs 877 crore.
