The Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) plans to expand the scope of its acquisitions by acquiring companies and services in the transportation sector.
By 2030, APSEZ hopes to increase its cargo volumes to 1 billion tons, a huge increase from the current 339.2 million tons, with the goal of being the world's largest transportation company by 2025.
With a modest equity stake, APSEZ will now focus on making investments in operational ports outside India. It already has plans to work with reliable neighborhood partners who will be financially invested in the project.
By 2030, APSEZ hopes to surpass all other port operators in the world. APSEZ now operates 12 ports and terminals with a combined capacity to transport 580 million tonnes of cargo annually.
