Nitin Gadkari, the Union's Minister of Road Transport and Highways, will dedicate the cloverleaf junction next month, connecting the Southern Peripheral Road, the Dwarka Highway and NH-48.
After meeting with Gadkari and talking about numerous projects related to the NCR area, Rao Inderjeet Singh, Minister of Union and Gurgaon MP, stated that the cloverleaf was almost ready.
The cloverleaf contains slopes on all four sides and is more than two kilometers in circle, according to the National Highways Authority of India. One of the largest such structures in India, it is said to be a larger counterpart to the cloverleaf at Dhaula Kuan in New Delhi.
Delhi Airport, Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, Dwarka Expressway, Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) and the currently under construction Delhi-Mumbai Expressway are all easily accessible via the four loops of the junction.
Once it's ready, it will also become easier for Gurgaon residents living in new sectors to access NH-8 without having to travel all the way to Kherki Daela toll plaza. Those travelling by car from the areas around Golf Course Extension Road can use the SPR side of the Dwarka Highway and cloverleaf slope to access NH-48 and continue to Manesar. To go to Delhi, they can also make the circle.
