The MP Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has increased its workforce by 25 times to meet the September 2023 deadline for the test run for the proposed Indore Metro in Super Priority Corridor.
MP Shankar Lalwani and MPMRCL officials, including managing director Manish Singh, reviewed the Indore Metro Rail Project's progress on February 4. The trial run of the Super Corridor's 6 km stretch is expected to begin in the first week of September. Singh stated that all issues, such as drawing and design approval, had been resolved with the cooperation of the relevant agencies. The same efforts are being made to expedite the construction of Hotel Radisson Square.
The MD stated that DGMs, senior DGMs and management-level officials were stationed in Indore and Bhopal to monitor the project, as well as a 25-fold increase in staff and night shifts to help meet the deadline. He also said the buses they expect to receive at the end of May are currently being produced in Baroda.
He also stated that the work on the stables, inspection pits and depots is going fast. The third-party rail inspection due is expected to be delivered to Indore on February 20.
In addition, another agency has started preparations to build the tracks on the elevated corridor.
