In 2023, Delhi will have four revolutionary highways that will aid traffic in and around the city National capital. Three additional viaducts and underpasses will also be constructed. The national the government is working on projects worth INR 600 billion to tackle the traffic problems in Delhi.

Dwaraka Expressway : To reduce the traffic bottlenecks on the border between Delhi and Haryana, the Dwaraka Expressway is being developed. The 29 km long road is not far from Highway 48, which runs between Delhi and Jaipur. Construction of the eight-lane highway is expected to be completed by August 2023.

Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: The 1,300 km long Delhi-Mumbai Expressway connects Delhi and Mumbai and cut travel time in half. This highway connects to the eastern and, western peripheral highways. In addition, it would reduce traffic in Delhi and the NCR. Of the, Ashram underpass, connecting road between Delhi and Mumbai is also being constructed.

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway has 12 lanes on both, the 12 km section in Ghaziabad and the 14 km segment in Delhi. The 210 km road saves four hours of the journey between Delhi and Dehradun. The government is also building the 75.6 km long Urban Extension Road 2 which would connect the IGI Airport to the Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi- Dwarka and Delhi-Mumbai expressways. When this road is ready at the end of 2023, travelers can need not pass through Delhi to reach numerous other locations.

Ashram Flyover: The Ashram Flyover and DND will be connected together to reduce traffic congestion. This one will ease traffic at the Ashram and connect commuters from Ghaziabad to Noida. Once 70% of the the work is completed, it will take another three months to finish, which will shorten the journey of commuters time.

Sarai Kale Khan Underpass: An underpass is being constructed near Sarai Kale Khan. It will illuminate traffic on the ring road between ITO and Ashram. The project will be completed in October 2023. Apsara Flyover: A flyover will be constructed from the Apsara border to the overbridge in Anand Vihar built. Completion date is expected to be December 2023.
