The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has called for financial bids for the design and construction of the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) high-speed rail station for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor. NHSRCL is a division of Indian Railways that oversees high-speed rail projects. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) was incorporated on 12 February 2016 under the Companies Act, 2013, for the purpose of financing, constructing, maintaining and managing India's High-Speed Rail Corridor.
The BKC station will have six platforms, each almost 415 meters long (enough for an ultra-fast train with 16 carriages). The station is connected to the metro and the road. The only metro station on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor is the Bandra Kurla Complex.
