The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) plans to build seven warehouses in Andhra Pradesh with a total capacity of more than 18 lakh tons in the next two financial years.
She said that the CWC has already built six warehouses in Andhra Pradesh. Another capacity of about 1.28 million tons of warehouses will be built in Kadapa, Nandyal, Renigunta, Sattenpalli, Nellore, Nandikotkur and Vadlamudi in the state in fiscal year 2023-24, she said.
In fiscal year 2024-25, CWC will add another 52,794 tons of capacity, she added.
The minister also said that Andhra Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation (APSWC), which has already built 20 warehouses in the state in the past three years, plans to build 10 more in the state.
