Buildings & Factories Business has received an order from the National High-Speed ​​Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) to construct the Sabarmati Depot (MAHSR-D-2) in Gujarat for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed ​​Rail (MAHSR) project. The contract was awarded as part of a consortium led by Sojitz Corporation, Japan.

The MAHSR-D-2 package project includes the design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of an 82-acre depot. When completed, the depot will be the largest in India set up for this purpose.

For the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed ​​Rail (MAHSR) project, L&T is already completing civil viaduct and station packages C4, C5 and C6, special steel bridge packages P4(X) and P4(Y) and ballastless trackwork (package No-T3).
