The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) plans to complete 25% of the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line III by the end of December, with the route expected to be fully operational by April 2025.
According to superintending engineer Rinaz Pathan, the PMRDA has completed 20% of the work for this fully elevated metro line. November 25 marks one year since the contract was signed with the executive agency to begin this work, which is expected to be completed in 40 months. The officials stated that the barricades would be implemented in stages to avoid inconvenience to civilians.
According to the Pune Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (PUMTA), work on the proposed double-decker viaduct at University Chowk is unlikely to be completed by January 2024.
