The Ministry of Road Transport and Roads of the Government of India has made a bid for the construction of a two-lane road in Karnataka state. The scope of the works includes the construction of two lanes of existing 55,600 km to 90,700 km (design 0 km to 13,832 km realignment) channel of NH-766C in Karnataka State, as well as two major bridges over Sharavathi backwaters. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 2.46 billion, with a completion date of 24 months.
