Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the National Logistics Policy in New Delhi today. Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister said India had taken another important step towards becoming a developed country with national logistics policy. India is emerging as a world manufacturing center.

The Prime Minister emphasized that 'Policy plus performance' equals progress and expressed confidence that logistics policy would act as a driving and guiding force. He said drone technology would become an important aspect of the transport and logistics industry, especially in remote areas. The Prime Minister also pointed out that we need to bring logistics costs from 13% to a single digit number as soon as possible.
