The first intermodal digital TIR-based pilot transport along the INTC corridor from India to Iran was flagged from Nhava Sheva. The International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) aims to reduce the time it takes EXIM (Export-Import) freight to access the Central Asian markets and arrive in Russia and Europe.
The commercial transit hub for the area, especially Central Asia, is Chabahar Port, which was created with Indian assistance. In collaboration with the Iranian government, India is participating in the construction of the first phase of the Shahid Beheshti Terminal in the port of Chabahar. The TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers or International Road Transports) system contributes significantly to the development of regional economic systems by promoting cross-border trade.
