According to a study by CBRE, leasing in India's industrial and logistics sectors totaled 12.8 million square feet, down about 9% year-on-year in the first half of 2022.

Due to a slowdown in supply, space usage fell 17 percent on a semi-annual basis from the 15 million square feet recorded in H2 2021.

The report did note that leasing activity will increase as more land is acquired and more construction is completed in the second half of 2022.

The rental activities were driven by Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru, which accounted for more than half of the total space occupied.
