Work on Pune Metro Line 3, also known as Puneri Metro, on the Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar route has been gaining momentum. Construction of the 23km line reached the milestone of completing 1,000 piles this week.

The project is a joint venture between Pune IT City Metro Rail Ltd, a special vehicle of the Tata Group, and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).

“The thousandth piling was completed today at the proposed No. 10 station of Pune Metro Line 3 near Balewadi Stadium… [along with other works]. We are working to increase this number even faster in the coming days,” said a senior official from Pune IT City Metro Rail.
