North Central Railway sees 21.3% originating freight loading growth
 

North Central Railway (NCR) reported an increase of 21.3 percent in freight loading in the first quarter of fiscal year 2022-23. From April to June 2022, NCR loaded 5.24 million tons of cargo, breaking all records. This is NCR's best quarterly cut-off figure since its inception in 2003.

In the corresponding period of the previous year, a freight load of 4.32 million tons was reportedly lost. In June 2022 alone, NCR achieved 1.81 mt of payload, NCR's best-ever charging performance in one month. It generated Rs. 1.81 billion turnover.
