Bechtel Engineering and Construction India have won a contract from Tata Projects to support the completion of the new Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh.
Tata Projects' scope of work includes terminal construction, runways, airside infrastructure roads, landside facilities, utilities and other supporting buildings.
It recently won an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International.
Tata Projects director and CEO Vinayak Pai told media that the company is pleased to have Bechtel as a partner to support and support Tata's team in the completion of this nationally important new airport.
The company will deploy the latest technologies to build India's first zero-emission airport building while meeting the highest standards of quality, safety and sustainability.
Noida Airport is conceived as a modern airport that combines Indian culture and hospitality with Swiss technology.
Once completed, the new airport will be launched to have an annual capacity of 12 million passengers by 2024.
