A tender has been launched to upgrade Secunderabad Railway Station for Rs 653 crore.
The station is one of the busiest in the South Central Railways (SCR) and in the Indian railway system. According to the highest authorities, the project would be executed in an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) style, with construction to be completed within 36 months of the award of the tender.
The tender will close on 29 July and a pre-bid meeting will take place on 21 June.
The development plans include a new station building on the existing north side with G+3 floors — 22,516 m and an extension and extension of the existing building on the south side with G+3 floors — 14,792 m.
