FleetX unveils academy for next-gen logistics, supply chain workforce

The intelligent freight visibility and fleet management platform FleetX announced their academy, which will educate fleet managers and the nation's workforce involved in logistics and supply chain operations across the country.

The company launched its first batch in November 2021 as a pilot with 28 candidates, which was successful and resulted in more candidates wanting to be trained. Currently, it is open only to its customers, but the plan is to strengthen its trained logistics and supply chain staff, the company said.

“India is one of the largest markets for transportation and logistics services. Technology has evolved and has helped the logistics space in the country in several ways. Unfortunately, technology adoption is slowing down as fleet managers and staff rely heavily on legacy systems The space requires a high-quality talent pool of professionals who can meet the increased demand. That is why FleetX launched its “FleetX Academy” to prepare field teams and arm the managers with an understanding of technological progress,” reads the message.

The course covers various aspects of the training, including the fundamentals of logistics, the importance of digitization in logistics, and an end-to-end overview of how to use Fleetx fleet management software. A holistic understanding of management and software will improve efficiency, the company said.

Vineet Sharma, CEO & co-founder said: “By using education and skills, we want to achieve different goals. First of all, we want to train the existing workforce and equip them with the knowledge of new-age software and technical applications; second, we want to equip fleet managers with skills needed to manage large-scale fleets, it will help them understand how technology can be used to optimize their operations.”

The company added that the course is free for its customers. “Since we have decided to provide training to our clients, we will open this course to learners outside of our clientele. We will invite new talent and launch the program in a paid module. We are still experimenting with our syllabus and trying to improvise” We want to ensure that our customers become familiar with technology and its use. With the popularity of the course, it will become a standard for beginners and those working in the logistics industry."
