The Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) has expressed its shock at the Nagaland government's proposal to build a four-lane stadium road passing through the football field of Dimapur Government College to connect the State Stadium with National Highway (NH ) 36.

This idea is considered ill-considered and technically unworkable, as it would cause traffic congestion in the NH.

DNSU told the media that this shows the inefficiency and lack of inventiveness of their engineering mindset. The most disappointing and embarrassing aspect of this plan is that there is no state stadium at the designated state stadium site where the proposed road is to be connected.
