Chhattisgarh Rural Road Development Agency, under the State Panchayat and Rural Development Department, has invited applications for the appointment of State Quality Monitors under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

Applications have been made by civil engineers who have retired from the position of executive engineer or equivalent position of a government agency, government enterprise (PSU) of the central, state government or their affiliated offices. Graduates in Civil Engineering who are working or retired from IITs, Government Engineering Colleges, NITs or Government Research Institutes can additionally apply.

In addition, teachers with experience in designing, supervising and working as consultants for road development or bridge design can also apply. According to an official release, candidates with civil service are desired and must have at least five years of road construction experience, from the past ten years, before retiring to inspect road construction works. While for bridge inspection, preference is given to candidates with eight years experience in planning, designing or executing bridge developments with at least four years experience in executing bridge projects.

Applicants with both professional qualifications and field experience in road and bridge inspection can apply for both jobs. Candidates who can work with computers and smartphones or want to learn them in a specified time can apply for this position. Candidates with a contaminated background, including corruption, will not be considered.
