HG Infra Engineering announced that it has secured a Rs 7.81 billion contract from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) for the upgrading of National Highway 47. In a filing with the stock exchange, the company said it had received an award letter from MoRTH.
The project involves upgrading of an existing six-lane road, including construction of an elevated corridor, covering a stretch from km 0/00 to 10/170 km between Narol Junction and Sarkhej Junction on NH 47 in Gujarat. It will be executed under hybrid annuity (HAM) mode and covers 10,630 km, with a construction period of 2.5 years. Last month, HG Infra Engineering was the lowest bidder (L1) for the project, with the ministry’s estimated cost pegged at Rs 8.83 billion, while the company’s bid was Rs 7.81 billion.
HG Infra Engineering is based in Rajasthan and specializes in infrastructure construction services including highways, roads, bridges, runways and civil construction as well as land development, water supply, renovation and improvement services.
