Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals Private Limited is located in Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNP) in Maharashtra, India’s largest and premier container gateway. Chowgule Steamships Limited was incorporated in April, 1963, with three liberty ships to facilitate the transportation needs of iron ore exports of its parent company, Chowgule & Company Pvt. Ltd. Chowgule Steamships Limited has an international Handysize vessel M.V. Maratha Promise of 37,187 DWT age of eight years. Vessel is engaged in time charters with reputed international charterers, moving bulk cargoes like grain, coal, fertilisers, steel, alumina etc.

Dighi Port Limited the first Greenfield port in Maharashtra, is being developed as a multipurpose, multi cargo, all weather port with deep draught, direct berthing facilities and state-of-the-art cargo handling equipment with adequate stockyards and warehousing facilities, back up area with ample land bank of approximately 1600 acres.

Dighi Port Limited is located on the bank of Rajpuri creek, in the Raigad District of Maharashtra. The unique feature of the port is its ideal location within a natural harbor and exclusive channel offering a depth of 14.5 m, making it one the deepest port of Maharshtra.

Dighi Port Limited port is located at a distance of 42 nautical miles (NM) from Mumbai by Sea and 170 km’s south of Mumbai by Road. The North Bank of the port is connected to National Highway 17 via State Highway (SH) 92, and 96 and the South Bank is connected to National Highway 17 via SH 97 and 98. Upgradation of the existing State Highway from 2 lanes to 4 lanes is in progress. The nearest Konkan Railway Rail Head Indapur is 47 kms from the Port.

Indian Private Ports And Terminals Association is an association of private ports and terminal operators of container terminals and bulk terminals of India. IPPTA has been formed to address the need to form a strong representative body of Indian private ports and terminal operators as an industry, which is one of the successful privatization industries in India today. Members of IPPTA, all existing private operators cumulatively represent an investment of more than Rs. 10000 crores in port sector.

Indian Private Ports And Terminals Association the Association include providing a forum for the private operators and private ports to interact with each other and formulate joint strategies for the removal of difficulties and impediments coming in the way of their successful functioning.
