Importance of SMEs to Indian Economy

Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) all over the world have been recognised as the silent drivers of a nations economy. Their enterprise is laudable and their ability to generate pools of growth and employment, invaluable. This is true for most developed, as well as developing economies. In the emerging economic order SMEs are the leading edge when it comes to innovation and entering new global markets. The SME story in India is no different. With over 40% of industrial output through 95% industrial units, SMEs form the backbone of the Indian economy.

Objectives of SME Expo
To create business to business networking platform for SMEs in the Logistics / Textile iheir complete value chain viz. Suppliers, Buyers and peers to develop business and share knowledge about the industry.

The SME Expo comprises of:
3 days Business Exhibition: Where leading SMEs and stakeholders would exhibit their products and services, which will be visited by all the major players from the industry, including buyers, service providers, government officials and policy makers.
2 days of conferences: These would provide opportunities to highlight the burning issues of the industry. Opinion makers and experts would share their thoughts on how these issues could be address.
