Eurowings flies passengers to more than 50 markets large and small throughout Europe as a regional affiliate of airline giant Deutsche Lufthansa. Subsidiary Germanwings offers low-fare, no-frills service. The two airlines maintain a fleet of about 70 aircraft. In addition to its scheduled service, Eurowings provides charters in partnership with sister company Lufthansa CityLine. Lufthansa owns a controlling stake in Eurowings, and it has an option to buy out the company's other major shareholder, German businessman Albrecht Knauf.
