The company also sells or leases used aircraft; provides structural parts, and mechanical and hydraulic systems; and manufactures general aviation propeller aircraft, such as executive planes and crop dusters. It has a strategic alliance with European Aerospace and Defense Group. The company was formerly known as Rio Han Empreendimentos e Participacoes S.A. Embraer was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil.
